Our story

Hi, I'm Yulia.

Aiwa Amiya (أيوا عامية) began with a simple idea: learners deserve real spoken Levantine Arabic from a native teacher, not textbook Arabic from an app.

I moved to Jordan four years ago to learn Arabic. It's my third language, and Aiwa Amiya grew from wanting learners to find the right teacher and the right voice inside the spoken Arabic of the Levant.

I moved to Jordan four years ago, and during my first year I went to an Arabic school to learn the basics. Since then, I've kept improving by talking to people and using the language in everyday life.

Arabic is the third language I've learned, and I've realized it doesn't have to be difficult — it can actually be fun, especially when you focus on what really matters: communication.

What kept standing out to me was that learners do not just need more Arabic content. They need the right teacher, the right voice, and the right way into the part of the Levant they want to understand.

That is the dream behind Aiwa Amiya: a self-paced Palestinian Levantine Arabic course taught by Noor, a native teacher from Amman, designed so learners get the real spoken Arabic of the Levant instead of a flattened textbook version.

Aiwa Amiya is starting with Noor's course, and we're building it to grow — over time more native voices from across the Levant will join, each rooted in the spoken Arabic her community actually uses.

Besides Jordan, I've already used Levantine Arabic while traveling to Palestine, Syria, and even Saudi Arabia, and I'm looking forward to many more places where I can connect with people through the language.

We're glad you're here and excited to be part of your journey.

With love,
Aiwa Amiya Team
